About this event
Join the Women’s Healthcare & Reproductive Rights Team for a second wave of feminism film screening of "Left on Pearl" which explores the Women’s Liberation Movement in the United States from 1966 to 1971, highlighting key issues such as employment discrimination, affordable childcare, reproductive health, and sexuality, as well as internal divisions over homophobia, race and class.
The event will be a community celebration of Women’s History Month. The celebration is 3-fold: organizations that support women tabling session and cake reception; screening of the film “Left On Pearl”, and a panel discussion highlighting women who were involved in the movement.
Support comes from the ASC FY 2025-2026 Venue Access Grant. Partner organizations include Planned Parenthood, AAUW, Health Care NC, and the ERA-NC Alliance.
