The Women’s Healthcare and Reproductive Rights (WHARR) Action Team informs the community and advocates for women’s healthcare and reproductive rights. Guided by the positions of LWVUS, LWVNC, and LWVCM, we believe everyone should have the right to make their own healthcare choices in private.
- We partner with League members, allied nonpartisan groups, and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community.
- We strive to ensure fair access to healthcare for women throughout the lifecycle including reproductive healthcare.
- We stay informed about local, state and federal healthcare policy, discuss policies’ impact on women and lead/collaborate in local and state advocacy efforts.
