Meeting on Thursday evening, June 11th, more than 50 members attended the 2026 Annual Meeting exceeding the number required for a quorum. Before the meeting began, attendees enjoyed mocktails, hors d’oeuvres, conversation, and laughter. The year-in-review highlighted major
infrastructure improvements, including website redesign and stronger governance, as well as program successes such as Candidate Forums and Evening with the League events. Midway through the meeting, a surprise power outage interrupted the recap and continued beyond the meeting’s close. Even so, everyone pulled together and kept things moving. Members approved all items requiring a vote, including the prior meeting minutes, the 2026–27 Program Priorities, the 2026–27 Budget Proposal, and the slate of candidates for election to the Board and the 2027–28 Nominating Committee. Presenters used cell phones to light their documents, and no one panicked. Special thanks go to those who helped members with mobility challenges exit the building safely
in the dark. Despite the unexpected disruption, the atmosphere remained upbeat, and the Annual Meeting was both productive and enjoyable.
