About this event

Join Greg Jarrell, local author and journalist, for a guided Brooklyn Village Walking Tour on March 27 at 10:00 AM. This event is organized by BKD (ages 60+), but a limited number of additional spots are available for others who would like to participate.

Greg Jarrell’s book, Our Trespasses, explores how urban renewal in Charlotte dismantled Brooklyn, a once-thriving Black community in the city’s Second Ward. This tour offers a powerful opportunity to learn more about this history firsthand.
