LWVUS UN Observers will attend the 69th session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.

CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women)

During LWVUS' 2024 National Convention in Washington DC, a resolution in support of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), an international treaty concerning the rights of women and girls, was passed with 99% support from the convention delegates, committing LWVUS’ continuing support for the CEDAW framework at the local, state, and national levels. The League of Women Voters of North Carolina was proud to serve as a co-sponsor of the resolution.
