Dr. Michael Bitzer, Professor of Politics and History at Catawba College is the speaker for LWVMC’s January 17th League Talk which can be accessed at 6:30 pm on ZOOM.
Dr. Bitzer will bring his expert political knowledge and experience to his discussions of the 2022 Midterms with a specific focus on the judicial races for North Carolina’s Supreme Court. In addition, he will examine oral arguments delivered to the SCOTUS justices in the Moore v Harper case and offer his opinion of our state’s political outlook considering the effect of gerrymandering.
Dr. Bitzer’s most current book, published last year, is entitled: Redistricting and Gerrymandering in NC: Battlelines in the Tar Heel State.
