What is this?
NC's American Association of University Women invites you to a presentation by Ana Pardo, editor of a newly released report from the NC Justice Center’s Workers’ Rights Project--State of Working Women: 2023--which analyzes the impact of the gender wage gap, occupational segregation, and the caregiving crisis on working women in the state. It is available at www.stateofworkingnc.org and includes working women’s perspectives as well as interactive data visualizations.
The Justice Center’s release of State of Working Women comes on the heels of Oxfam’s newly released 2023 Best and Worst States to Work Index, which ranked NC dead last among the states for wages, worker protections, and organizing rights. The report from Oxfam also rated NC as the worst state in the country for working women.
Key findings will be featured in Ana Pardo’s presentation via Zoom on Tuesday, March 19, at 7pm. Feel free to invite family, friends and all women and men that you think might be interested.
